Low Carbon Footprint Minerals
RockTron’s unique minerals are sustainably sourced, 100% recycled and can contribute to cutting CO2 emissions. They offer significantly lower carbon footprints compared to many minerals currently used in industry.
RockTron’s Eco-Mineral Fillers can be used as fillers and extenders in a range of industries including plastics, rubber, coatings and adhesives. They have low carbon footprints: for example, RockTron MinTron™ typically produces 0.08 kg of CO2 per kg of product, whereas glass, talc, precipitated silica and carbon black can typically produce 0.85-0.90 kg of CO2 per kg of product. MinTron™ can be used in automotive applications, where the product’s low density (2.1-2.4 g/cm3) can help reduce vehicle weight, thereby increasing efficiency and reducing carbon emissions.
