Lord Wade of Chorlton – Chairman
Oulton Wade joined the board as Chairman in 2003. He is Chairman of NIMTECH, holds numerous directorships and presides over several committees on Energy, Science and Technology Committee and the North West Development Association. He is Chairman of the Combined Heat and Power Association and the Energy from Waste Association.

Dr John Watt – Executive Deputy Chairman
John Watt is a co founder of RockTron and has broad experience of public service, having served as Managing Director of the Northern Ireland Finance Corporation, and in private enterprise working with PA Management Consultants and IBM before founding several businesses including RockTron.

Philip Michael - Technical Director
Philip Michael is a co founder of RockTron and has worked in the international mining and mineral processing industries for over forty years. He designed and successfully commissioned the largest mineral processing plant in the world and has developed much of the technology now used by RockTron.

John Folliott Vaughan – Non Executive Director
John joined the board in 2004 and has worked in the City for thirty years, principally in the fields of project and corporate finance for Kleinwort Benson (now part of Dresdner Bank) and Albert E Sharp (now Arbuthnot Securities) where he was head of corporate finance and a member of the management board.

Mark Steed – Non Executive Director
Mark joined the board in January 2007 following an international career in finance working with emerging companies and raising finance for new businesses.

John Bance – Operations Director
John, a metallurgist, had a successful career with Anglo American Corp before developing his contracting career in both South Africa and the UK, operating in various process industries. John heads up our manufacturing operations worldwide.

Nigel Smalley – Technical Services Director
Nigel graduated from Leeds University in Mineral Processing and worked for both the university in R&D roles and Rio Tinto before joining Philip Michael to work with RockTron in 2002. Nigel heads up our R&D operations.

Peter Crofts – Head of Marketing
Peter has thirty years experience in sales and marketing, working internationally and in the UK with major multinationals, start-up businesses and institutions. He started working with RockTron in 2002. Peter heads up our worldwide marketing.

Yazleen Yazid – International Business Development
Yazleen’s background is in business development, finance and technology, and she has extensive experience of developing new markets in Asia. As RockTron develops Yazleen’s role will become increasingly significant, especially in relation to Asia.

Philip Morgan – General Counsel
Philip is a solicitor with more than 30 years’ experience in both the public and private sectors. He joined RockTron in 2003 as General Counsel and Company Secretary having advised the company and its founding shareholders since 1990.

Godfrey Short - Advanced Products Director Godfrey has over 30 years international experience in manufacturing, operations, technical, R & D, sales, marketing and general management at George Fischer, Dowty and Raychem Corp, working for customers in the automotive, aerospace, computing, chemical, medical, pharmaceutical, electrical appliance, telecomms, utilities, oil & gas industries. He holds an MSc in Polymer Engineering and diplomas in Business Administration and Product Design.
