The RockTron Group includes the following companies:
RockTron Limited
Founded in 2000 by the amalgamation of a number of separate research groups, RockTron Limited is the parent company of the Group. RockTron Limited also controls the core technology, “the RockTron Fly Ash Beneficiation Process,” which is utilised by the operating companies.
RockTron (Widnes) Limited
Founded in 2001, the subsidiary of RockTron (Widnes) Limited is the operating company for the Fiddler's Ferry power station RockTron Fly Ash Beneficiation plant. RockTron (Widnes) Ltd is the minerals sales and supply arm of the RockTron Group. Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) hold a 17.5% share in RockTron Widnes Ltd.
RockTron (Gale Common) Limited
Founded in 2002, the subsidiary of RockTron (Gale Common) Limited is the operating company for the Gale Common ash disposal site and the planned RockTron Fly Ash Beneficiation plant.

RockTron Research Limited
Founded in 2001, RockTron Research Limited co-ordinates the Group's on-going technology development through in-house research, grant funded research with industrial and/or academic partners, collaborative research with companies from other industrial sectors and operates the Group's demonstration facility.
