Demonstration Plant - Gale Common

The RockTron demonstration plant is operated by RockTron Research Ltd and is our R&D facility for product and process development. The Gale Common stockpile serves two power stations: Eggborough and Ferrybridge and is located at the junction of the A19 and M62 motorway in Yorkshire.
Demonstration Plant Capacity: 3.2 tonnes per hour
RockTron Commercial Plant 1 – Fiddler’s Ferry

The Fiddler's Ferry Power Station was commissioned in 1971 and nicknamed: “The Eight Towers” because of its 8 cooling towers. It can be seen from 30 miles away.
Stockpiled fly ash: Approximately 15 million tonnes
Processing Capacity: 800,000 tonnes per year
Anticipated Remediation date: 20-30 years from the start of processing

The Gale Common stockpile serves two power stations: Eggborough and Ferrybridge and is located at the junction of the A19 and M62 motorway in West Yorkshire.
Stockpiled fly ash: Approximately 35 million tonnes from Ferrybridge and Eggborough.
Subject to planning permission RockTron intends to build 2 plants at Gale Common, each processing 800,000 tonnes per year
Anticipated Remediation date: 25-50 years from the start of processing
