RockTron Remediation

One of the principle benefits of the RockTron process is its environmental remediation capability. We take the fly ash waste (PFA) from coal-fired power stations and transform it into valuable, environmentally-coherent industrial minerals. This waste can be taken directly from the power station as it is produced and more significantly from older stockpiled waste. Consequently, the remediation benefits we can offer include:

• Eliminating the need for future fly ash waste storage sites.
• The emptying of landfill sites – the ash stockpiles and lagoons.
• Reducing the need for the quarrying of virgin aggregates.

The net result is a truly comprehensive and fully compliant remediation capability, which enables a site to be restored to its prior state over time. Furthermore, the RockTron production process produces no waste, typically processing 100% of the ash.
